Brian Vickers is a full time Nascar Sprint Cup Series Driver, running the No. 83 Red Bull Toyota. He was born in Thomasville, North Carolina, and at age 8, competed in go-kart races.

Nascar HistoryEdit

In 2003, Hendrick Motorsports officially announced Brian Vickers the Driver of the No. 5 Delphi Chevorlet for the Busch Series. There, at age 20, he went on to win the 2003 Busch Series Championship. But, his Nascar career was only beginning.

In 2004, Hendrick picked up the famed Nascar rookie, and put him into the Nextel Cup Series, driving in the No. 25 Ditech.com GMAC Chevorlet. In that car, he rode for many years, but only scored one win in 2006, after a wreck occured infront of him with his two teammates, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jimmie Johnson.

In 2007, Brian Vickers left Hendrick Motorsports, and went to a new team to Nascar, Red Bull Racing. Since then, he has been driving the No. 83 Red Bull Toyota, and scored one win in 2009, once again outshining Jimmie Johnson.

In 2010, one third through the season, Brian Vickers had a blood clot, and almost died. There, he didn't drive the whole rest of the season. Now, in 2011, he returns behind the wheel, along with new teammate, Kasey Kahne.
